I have written my share of book reviews, but never have I written a review on a book that pulled at my heart strings like this one did. I couldn't put it down.
Dear Carolina brought back memories, opened and closed old wounds, and reminded me that you can do anything in this life if you choose to do so. The book is heaped full of tenderness, strength, elegance, beauty, humor, and love. Kristy hit a home run on this one!
This story is written to Carolina by her birth mother, who is a lost and troubled young girl, and the adoptive mother, a successful interior designer. It is about an entire family and their close friends, their struggles and their victories, and a baby girl who was fortunate enough to have the unconditional love of these two strong women.
Kristy has an uncanny way of balancing the happy and sad times in the book. I was crying one minute and laughing the next. Her use of hilarious sayings and vocabulary were true to the South, some familiar and some not. Most spectacular was the detail here. I don't believe I could have been more clear on the senses had I been there.
Now I am off to the store to buy some Orangeade.

Five stars for this one, and I can't wait to see what you write next. Congratulations, friend!
